Classroom Newsletter September 19, 2008

You will notice a letter your students bring home today from Renaissance Place Home Connect. This Web Site is connected to our AR. You can now go under the student’s number and see the title of books the students have read. These books go back for the last 2 years or more. Just follow the directions given on the sheet.
Thanks so much for your help in keeping the kids organized with their notebook. Many students are doing a fabulous job. We cleaned the notebook out today of any old materials, so everything should be in order.
I am going to do away with the yellow sheet and just have parents sign the newsletter each week. I didn’t want to be redundant. The newsletter seems to be working well at this point. Please make sure to sign it each week after you have checked for the graded papers in your child’s notebook. After your child brings the newsletter back to school I will return it to him/her to place in the notebook. This way you can refer to it for upcoming tests or dates. Again, thanks for all your help.
Next week we will begin a new unit in science, social studies, and math.
