SAT Preparation
Students are learning how to analyze poetry.
They are currently working on vocabulary set #6 and reading whichever book they selected for Literature Circles. The selections included: Shane, Run with the Horsemen, Till They Have Faces, Secret Life of Bees, and A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. There are Lit Circle deadlines each Monday and vocabulary quizzes each Tuesday. We have just started a poetry unit. Students have until November 5 to locate a poem they would like to analyze and present to the class. The presentations will take place just after Thanksgiving.

IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT STUDENTS BUY THEIR OWN COPY OF THE E Level Of the Oxford-Sadlier vocabulary book.

Class Rules:
1. Be ready to work when the bell rings.
2. No eating or drinking.
3. Stay in your seat until I dismiss class.
4. No grooming in class.
5. Remain both awake and attentive.
6. Behave in a way to help maintain a
learning environment.
