What is coming up in Mrs. Dees' class...

9th GRADERS:
We are starting the semester with a unit on poetry. You will have a major poetry project due on January 20th. Make sure you start working on it early.
We start our first novel of the semester, To Kill a Mockingbird, on January 21st.
Make sure you are studying for your vocabulary quizzes every Friday!
11th GRADERS:
We are starting this semester with a unit on Realism. We begin our first novel of the semester, The Great Gatsby, on January 22nd.
Make sure you are working on your independent reading novel at home so you will be prepared when we start the research paper in February. Your novel must be completed by February 13th to stay on track!
