World History This world history course provides students with a comprehensive, intensive study of major events and themes in world history. Students begin with a study of the earliest civilizations worldwide and continue to examine major developments and themes in all regions of the world. The course culminates in a study of change and continuity and globalization at the beginning of the 21st century. |

I am originally from Macon, Georgia. After graduating high school, I immediately began attending Mercer University and did so until 1983 when I decided to join the United States Air Force.
While in the Air Force I received training and 12 years of experience in the field of Public Health and eight years of training and experience in the Human Resources career field.
I earned three college degrees while in the Air Force: Associate of Applied Science - Environmental Medicine; Associate of Applied Science - Personnel Administration; Bachelor of Science. More recently, I completed requirements for the Masters of Education degree program at Southern Wesleyan University and Advance Placement training in American History.
I have traveled to many locations around the world to include: Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, Japan, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Bahamas, and throughout the continental United States.
After retiring from the USAF in May of 2003, I began teaching 7th grade Social Studies at Wrens Middle School. I was honored by being named "2006-07 Teacher of the Year" and more recently earned recognition as a "2008 Georgia Master Teacher". I serve as a mentor for the Georgia "Troops to Teachers" Program. I have enjoyed teaching Social Studies at Lakeside High School and look forward to another successful year. I have high expectations for all of my students and I live by the core values of the Air Force: "Integrity First, Service before Self, and Excellence in All I Do"! |
