Dear Parent:
In order to guarantee your child, and all the children in my classroom, the excellent learning climate they deserve, I am utilizing the following discipline plan.
Expected Behavior in Our Classroom:
1. Follow all written and oral directions.
2. Raise your hand and talk only at appropriate times.
3. Stay in your seat and keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
4. Complete assignments on time.
5. Return notes and signed papers on time.
6. Respect others and their belongings.
My Philosophy:
I believe all students can behave appropriately in my classroom. I will not tolerate any student interrupting my teaching or keeping any other student from learning. Students who behave will receive verbal praise, rewards, and free time.
Students who choose not to follow expected behaviors will earn the following consequences:
1st consequence: Name in sign-in book.
2nd consequence: Name in sign-in book /Lose entire recess.
3rd consequence: Name in sign-in book / Lose entire recess. / Blue note to parents.
Severe disruptions and will result in a Discipline Referral (DR) being sent to the office.
Every sign-in results in one point deduction from your child’s Conduct or Work/Study Habits grade. Students begin each nine-week grading period with 100 points. The following scale will be used for each grading period:
Conduct 100-85=S 84-78=NI 77-0=U
Work/Study Habits 100-95=S 94-90=NI 89-0=U
It is in your child’s best interest that we work together to provide the best atmosphere possible for learning. I will be in close contact with you regarding your child’s progress in my classroom. Please sign the tear-off below and return with your child tomorrow. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to e-mail me at ddymeck@ccboe.net or call the school and leave a message.
Educationally yours,
Diane Dymeck
