Welcome to Mrs. Goolsby's Garden

It is with great pleasure that I welcome your child to Mrs. Goolsby’s Garden! Where hard work, discipline, respect, and a caring heart will result in your child growing to their full potential.
Third grade will be an exciting year for your child. They will learn to read, not only for pleasure, but also for information. We will begin the new Georgia Performance Standards in math and you will love the on-line text book in both math and social studies. Science this year will focus on Georgia plants and habitats. We will also learn about thermal energy, magnets, and everyone’s favorites, rocks and minerals. Your child will become more efficient in cursive and memorize their multiplication tables. With so much going on this year, the only way we can be successful is if we all work together. Please feel free to contact me by email, phone, or notes. Your comments are important to me. I want to make sure that if you have an issue that you need to discuss with me that I can give you my full attention. For this reason I will only be able to conference with you if we have a scheduled appointment.
