The media center collection consists of a variety of materials that are selected to support the school’s curriculum and enrich the lives of our children. The following review sources are among those used by the media specialist on a continuing basis throughout the selection process: - School Library Journal and other professional journals - Awards: Caldecott Medal, Newbery Medal, Coretta Scott King Award, Georgia Children's Picture Storybook Award, and Georgia Children's Book Award - Recommendations from teachers - Publishers’ lists of recommended titles - Preview of materials supplied by reputable vendors

General Collection -- 10,047 volumes
Reference Books -- 562 volumes
Vertical File -- Over 500 supplemental materials filed by subject: includes paperback books, Cobblestone and Kids Discover magazines, pamphlets, maps, and pictorials.
Periodicals -- 11 professional journals and 14 children’s magazines
Audio-Visual Software -- 893 videos, audio cassettes and CDs, filmstips, etc.
Teacher Resources -- 670 books and teaching materials
Computer Software -- 350 programs
Textbooks -- 490 dictionaries
Audio-visual and Computer Equipment -- 351 items plus 5 look-up workstations in media center (not counting classroom and lab computers)
