About the Teacher |
| Mrs. Elizabeth Howlett grew up in Columbia County and graduated from Evans High School. She then attended Augusta State University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education degree. She was the Georgia President for the Student Professional Association of Georgia Educators and continues to take an active role in the Professional Association of Georgia Educators. She considers Evans Elementary her second home as she attended this school as an elementary student and her mother is a para-professional for Mrs. Kuhlke in the second grade. She recently received her Masters in Educational Leadership from Augusta State University. She loves to teach all ages and make learning fun for her students. Prior to teaching kindergarten, she taught both third and fourth grade at EES. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with friends and family, attending Mass, being outdoors, and shopping. She is the daughter of William and Linda Getha of Evans, Georgia and the sister of Heather Getha-Taylor of Columbia, South Carolina. She is married to Christopher Howlett who is a Sophomore in the Medical College of Georgia's School of Dentistry. They have a year-old West Highland White Terrier named Bentley. |
