Name dropping ..."Paul Klee" Designs Click here to see examples of Paul Klee's art. These Paul Klee inspired designs were featured in the annual WES art show and fundraiser last Spring. Paul Klee was a native of Switzerland which was one of our Olympic countries. Third, fourth, and fifth grade students began their artworks by measuring and drawing a 1" grid. They filled the grid with their names in large block letters to create the basic structure. A particular sequence had to be followed to develop the diagonal pattern. Crayon resist and watercolor added vibrant hues to the newfound shapes and spaces. The placement of all these art elements produced visual rhythm and interest. Please revisit our web pages to view examples of newly created student art. Also watch for information to be posted about our Spring art show and other events.
