Dear Parents,

Next week we will read another selection from our unit on plants “Away We Grow”. We will learn how plants grow and how similar many plants are. We will also learn about differences within the world of vegetation. Please study and review the vocabulary words and meanings listed at the bottom of this page.

In Math we will continue to work on the following standards: telling time to the hour and half hour, time sequencing, calendar, and measurement (length, weight, and capacity). In Grammar we will review synonyms. We will also review Reading, Grammar and Math concepts in preparation for the Criterion Reference Competency Test (CRCT) we will take in April. Next week we will send home information regarding online CRCT practice you can take advantage of at home.

Please make plans to attend our Spring Carnival that is scheduled for Saturday, March 20 from 11:00-2:00. It is going to be fun and exciting and filled with lots activities for all. Thank you for supporting MES!

Sincerely,

The First Grade Teachers
