Happy Lobster About Me (Mrs. Lillis)

I have taught for a total of 23 years. I began my teaching career in 1981 at Hephzibah Middle School where I taught eighth grade for two years. I then moved back to Tennessee and taught fifth grade for one year. Marrying my husband, Michael and moving back to Georgia, I then taught fifth graders at Levi White Elementary. I became a mom to my son, Kevin in 1986 and was a stay-at-home mom until the fall of 1988 when I resumed my teaching at Barton Chapel Elementary in a fourth grade classroom. I remained there for three years and then had the opportunity to teach in Columbia County working with seventh graders. I remained at Columbia Middle for the next fourteen years. My next move brought me to Martinez Elementary to teach fourth grade. Desiring to be with one group of students all day led me to ask for a self-contained classroom. My request was honored and my lastest move was to a third grade classroom.
