Lunch Money Pocket |
| The front pocket is for lunch money. Please place checks or cash in this pocket. If you send cash, please make sure that you place it in an envelope with your child's name, grade level, teacher's name, and purpose for the money on the front. If you send a check, please include your child's name, teacher's name, and lunch number in the for/memo section of your check. |

Blue Folder |
| In the blue folder, the weekly agenda and behavior sheet is located (colorful sheet). Any daily papers or informational notes are placed in the "to be left at home" side of the notebook. Agenda sheets, items that need to be signed and/ or filled out, and homework will be placed in the "to bring right back to school" side of the notebook. Please make sure that you view and initial the agenda sheet on a daily basis. Also, remember that the agenda sheet should be returned to your child's blue folder each and every night (even on Friday). |
Red Folder |
| The red folder is the Reading Renaissance folder. It includes your child's A.R. log, Home Connect form including user ID and password, Bingo sheets, and any information regarding the Reading Renaissance program. Please look through this folder on a regular basis. |
Yellow Folder |
| The yellow folder contains information regarding the Masters Marvel's Behavior Plan. The left hand side of the notebook contains a copy of the Rules. |
Green Folder |
| The green folder will include your child's weekly graded papers. On Wednesdays, you should view the papers, review any mistakes with your child, include any comments you may have on the comments section on the top sheet, and sign the top sheet. Please do not remove the top sheet from the graded papers. |
Parent Communication |
| This section of the Marvels Book contains blank, notebook paper. This may be used to write notes to the teacher and for your child to use to complete homework. We try to make sure that we replenish your child's paper supply. |
Word Wall/ Dictionary |
| Your child will use this section to help them spell words and practice dictionary skills. If your child needs help spelling a word, please feel free to add this word to their dictionary for future reference. We will also add words at school. |
Poetry Journal |
| This section of the Marvels Book contains poems that we work on throughout the school year. These poems are completed for homework. Sometimes extra poems are completed in class. From time to time, please have your child refer back to these poems. This is a wonderful form of literature for your child to learn about. |
Graphic Organizers/ Study Guides |
| During the school year, students will work on graphic organizers to help them study specific topics or units of study. These will be included in this section of the Marvels book. Also, I will include study guides for specific topics or units of study to help your child study for upcoming tests. These will be included in this section of the Marvels book as well. |
