CLASS RULEZ |
1. Enter class in a quiet & orderly manner with all necessary materials (textbook, notebook, notebook paper, and something to write with). Be in your assigned seat and ready to work when the tardy bell rings. I will shut the door when the bell rings. If you are not in class when the tardy bell rings, go to the office and get an admit slip. Do not come to class late without an admit slip or pass from another teacher. 2. Once class begins, there will no talking unless you are called upon. I expect your undivided attention while I teach. If you have a question or wish to speak, indicate so by raising your hand. 3. Do not be disrespectful to your classmates or to your teacher. 4. There‘s not a sorrier site in class than a student with their head down. Do not put your head down or sleep in class. 5. Students are allowed to have water in class. No other drink, food or candy is allowed. 6. Cell phones, any electronic device that can play music, cards and other games are prohibited from being used or displayed in class. 7. The professional relationship between the teacher and student is CONFIDENTIAL. This includes, but is not limited to, assigning of grades, accommodating learning styles, disciplinary action, and actions taken by the teacher to assist individual students with their learning. This means mind your own business. 8. Do not look in my grade book, go behind or look in my desk, open cabinets, etc. 9. Do not move desks unless I give you permission. The sound it makes gets on my nerves. 10. DO NOT CHEAT. Those caught cheating will be given a 0 for that assignment – no questions asked. This includes copying a classmate’s work. Talking or communicating of any kind during a quiz or test is considered cheating. A quiz or test is not over until EVERYONE is done. If you have something to say during a quiz or test, raise your hand. 11. Take all drills seriously. 12. Follow all instructions and have your work turned in on time. Late work, including notebooks, will lose 50 points per day. 13. All rules in the Student Handbook apply in my classroom.
For severe disruptions –fighting, refusal to obey, obscene language and/ or gestures, destruction of school property (which includes writing on desks and messing with posters and bulletin boards), throwing anything, etc – you will be sent directly to the discipline office.
