Hi! My name is Trudy Reece. I am new to South Columbia Elementary this year, but not new to teaching. I have taught many years in regular classroom and special education. I have a BS in Special Education and a MEd in Early Childhood Education.

Interrelated Resource |
| The Interrelated Resource Program is for students enrolled in the general education program while receiving specialized teaching and accomodations for no more than 3 hours per day. These students are pulled out of the general education setting to work on areas of need. |
Inclusion |
| Inclusion is a term which expresses commitment to educate each child to the maximum extent appropriate. It involves bringing the support services to the child in the general education setting rather than pulling the child out for services. |
Collaborative Teaching |
| Collaborative Teaching or Co-Teaching is defined as two or more professionals delivering instruction to a group of students with diverse learning needs. The interrelated resource teacher works directly with the general education teacher from planning to implementing the lessons. This approach increases instructional options, improves educational programs, and reduces stigmatization for students. |
