Welcome to Mrs. Waddell's Third Grade
Westmont Elementary School
Behavior Expectations
Classroom Rules
1. Raise hand to speak.
2. Stay in seat or area.
3. Keep hands & feet to self.
4. Listen & follow directions.
5. Be respectful.

All students start on the color blue each morning on a color chart. When a rule is broken, the student flips a card on the chart and moves to another color. Students earn 5 points if they are on blue at the end of the day.

Consequences For Rule Breaking:
Pink - warning but earn 3 points
Green - lose 5 minutes recess, lose stamp, earn 1 point
Yellow - lose 10 minutes recess, lose stamp, earn 0 points
Purple - lose all recess, lose stamp, contact parents, earn 0 points

Each agenda has a place that is used to record behavior. If it is blue or pink at the end of the day, the student receives a stamp in his/her agenda. If it is any other color, the student must write the color he/she was at the end of the day. At the end of each 60 days, I total the number of points each student has earned so that the students can shop at the reward store that I have in the classroom. The students may choose prizes equal to the number of points they have earned at the reward store.
Also, each week we draw for jobs. Anyone who lost 2 stamps in the previous week cannot have a job. Anyone who has a job for the week and loses 2 stamps, loses their job for the week.

I record colors for each student every day on a chart. The students are responsible for pulling out their agenda each day for the president to stamp.
Playground Rules

6. Walk away from a confrontation.
7. Use playground equipment appropriately.
8. Watch for others who are running or swinging.
9. Watch for signal to line up, and do so quickly, quietly, and orderly.
