First Grade Letter April 25, 2008
Dear Parents,
We spent most of the week working on the CRCT. The children worked very hard to do their best! Thank you for your support in making sure your child was present each day during testing.
We have begun practicing for our play GO FISH that will be presented on May 15. Wednesday we met with parents to discuss costumes and scenery. If your child has a speaking part please help him/her learn the lines. We appreciate your help so much!
Progress reports went home Tuesday. Please remember to sign the report and the back of the envelope, enclose the copy of the report inside the envelope, and send it back to school with two stamps attached to the front so that we can mail the report card and other information home at the end of the year.
Next week we will read an informational fiction story about a baby baboon that learns about the world around him as his mother takes him on a walk.
We will travel to the zoo on Tuesday, April 29. Please be sure to sign and return the new permission slip that was sent home earlier in the week. You are reminded that students will need to be at school at 7:15 on the morning of the trip.
Sincerely,
The First Grade Teachers
