Reading is now near grade level. The readings are of various genres, but especially history and short stories. Literary language is used to analyze the plots, characters, and word choice of the authors. Different writing models are used, especially the five paragraph plot analysis and the five paragraph essay to persuade. Generally we complete a unit within two weeks: reading, composition, grammar, analysis, study skills, vocabulary, and a test.
