This class is for the most advanced students, for students who are graduating and need to do the senior research paper, and for those who have completed the readings in the other advanced class. The objective is to continue to improve the student students reading, writing, and speaking skills. We are also preparing for the GHSGT writing test.

The content of this class varies from year to year.
This year this class was working on the senior project, and completed the research paper in the first semester. Also students practiced to pass the GHSWT writing test. The first semester will emphasize writing skills: passing the writing test and completing the senior paper. The second semester will emphasize lieterature, emphasizing poetry and the short story. Depending upon the length of the reading, a unit may be two or three weeks, and include a story, discussion of the story, a literary focus on that piece, a composition, and a test. This course is similar to a regular English class except that the reading may be adapted or we may spend longer on it. |
