| Fire Safety Is Exciting! |
|
In kindergarten we have many hands-on learning activities. We experience these activities with a partner, in small groups, and as a whole group. We are looking forward to lots of learning adventures this year! We use rhythm, rhyme, and movement to enhance learning kindergarten skills. Our goal is to develop a love for reading and sharing stories as well as learning to express ourselves in writing journals. Creating patterns in sequences continues to be a fun task. We will be learning the alphabet and the phonemic sounds for each letter. We will be working on star sight words as well as recognizing number words. Thanks for reviewing star words at home too! Our current themes are; SRA reading "By the Sea". In math we will continue to combine sets and explore numerals. We will learn about geometric shapes on the computer. Our exploratory themes for the month are Indians, Pilgrims, and Thanksgiving. We can hardly wait to feast with our fist grade Pilgrim friends. Enjoy you Thanksgiving Holiday. Our Fall Celebration was a blast. We enjoyed our dress up book reports and storybook character parade. Our parents have been so generous! |

We raise our hands to speak. We work quietly at our seats. We use voices soft and sweet. We keep our places tidy and neat. We are helpful, friendly, and fair. We take turns and willingly share.
