In kindergarten we have many hands-on learning activities. We experience these activities with a partner in small groups and as a whole group. We use rhythm, rhyme, and movement to enhance learning kindergarten skills. Our goal is to develop a love for reading and sharing stories as well as learning to express ourselves in writing journals. Creating patterns in sequences continues to be a fun task. We will be learning the alphabet and the phonemic sounds for each letter. We will be working on star sight words as well as recognizing number words. We have explored coins and presidents. We have painted several of our national symbols at the paint center. We discovered we liked green eggs and ham while listening to our favorite Dr. Seuss stories. We will explore wind and weather this month while learning about the water cycle. Celebrating St.Patrick's Day and Easter with our friends at school makes learning more fun! We enjoy writing about our experiences in our journals. Thanks for reviewing star words at home too! Thanks for your support from home! |

| We do like them! |
|
We raise our hands to speak. We work quietly at our seats. We use voices soft and sweet. We keep our places tidy and neat. We are helpful, friendly, and fair. We take turns and willingly share.
