| SECOND GRADE HOMEWORK
| | Click here for this Week's Homework | | Second graders have homework on Monday through Thursday nights. The homework is always on the Homework Calendar which is sent home at the beginning of the month. There is usually homework in the Language Arts area and Math. Either Science or Social Studies homework is given once a week. If there is a change in the Homework Calendar, the teacher will direct the students to make the appropriate change on their calendar in their homework folder. There are situations when a test has been planned, but the students are experiencing difficulty comprehending a concept and need an extra day or two before being tested. Besides the written homework, Second Graders are expected to read Accelerated Reader books and practice their math facts during the week. Homework is given to reinforce the skills presented in the classroom. The students are expected to learn the discipline necessary to do this and turn it in. |
