Riverside Elementary Media Center

We feel library/media services are to ensure that all students and staff are effective users of resources and information. The primary objective of the school library/media center is to implement, enrich and support the educational programs of the school. It is the duty of the school library/media center to provide a wide range of materials on all levels of difficulty, with a diversity of appeal and the presentation of different points of view. The center has the responsibility to provide these materials for pupils, teachers and administrators alike. With that in mind we hope everyone...gets in a Nook and Hooked on a Book!

Quote: The man who does not read good books has no advantage over the man who can't read them.
Author: Mark Twain

Our School Media Center host many activities in addition to the daily activities of checking in and out books. If you will visit the sites
to the left you will see slide shows representing these activities.

These activities involve:
Book Fairs
Read Across America
Visiting Authors
Georgia Book Award
Parent Volunteers
School Carnivals
Story Night

Students are also encouraged to set up class projects in the media center
so the entire school can enjoy their accomplishments!
