About Ms. Brooks
OpenBook

Welcome to My Web Page!
My name is Ms. Elizabeth Brooks, and I am thrilled to be returning to EHS for another wonderful year. I have a Bachelor of Arts in English/Literature from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego and a Master of Arts in Teaching with a concentration in English Education from Augusta State University. I will also receive my Ed. Specialist from ASU this fall (2009).

I have two beautiful children. Abby (8) and Aidan (11) keep me busy when I am not at EHS with my 130 students. :) I enjoy reading, writing, exercising, spending time outdoors, watching movies, and (yes) playing the occasional video game. Guitar Hero is a real stress reliever!! Most of all, I enjoy being a teacher!

This year, I am teaching three 11th grade English classes and two 12th grade English classes. In addition, I am co-sponsoring the Debate and Forensics Team with Mr. Steve Hahn. I am also starting and sponsoring the EHS Film Club. Please take a moment to look at the links provided on the left. You will find information on assignments under the links for each course. The "Class Calendar" is updated every month. I am always available via email. I encourage parents and students to contact me with any questions or concerns.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: We are planning a study abroad trip to the British Isles and Paris during Christmas Break 2010. Please click on the "Study Abroad: EF Tours" link to the left to see the details and/or to enroll your student. This trip is open to all students at EHS, including the seniors who will be graduating this year. If you have specific questions, you can contact me via email/phone or contact Mr. Steven Hahn (steven.hahn@ccboe.net).
