¡Bienvenidos a la clase de español!

My name is Christy James Brunk. I am thrilled to be your child's Spanish teacher. I enjoy making connections between foreign language, culture, history, and the fine arts. I have high standards for my students, and I am always impressed by their performance in speaking, writing, and reading.

I am originally from Grovetown, Georgia. I graduated from Harlem High School, and received degrees in Spanish and French from Augusta State University. I am married, and I have twin baby girls.

A loved one remembered with marigolds, or "La Flor de Muerto."
¡Feliz Día de los Muertos!

In third and fourth grades, we are learning about Day of the Dead, specifically about its vibrant celebrations in Mexico. We discuss the blended cultural history of Day of the Dead, Halloween, and All Saints' Day.
