Sink or Float?
Our class had a boat launch after studying about objects that would sink or float. The students were provided with an assortment of materials and challenged to create a boat of their own. Keeping in mind the sink or float demonstrations we had in class, students crafted boats that were very original in design. They were then able to launch their handmade boats in order to see if they had created one that could float. |

We enjoyed sharing the day with Mrs.Nordmann's class
If the boats would not float, or it was found they needed to be repaired, there was a "boat garage" set up in order for the students to make the proper repairs. |
