Pre-AP Initiative
Incorporating Pre-AP strategies into our existing curriculum engages students in active, high-level learning, thereby ensuring that every student is provided with the opportunity to develop the skills, habits of mind, and concepts needed to succeed in college. Pre-AP also provides closer ties between AP courses and the courses preceding them as well as a wider dissemination of successful teaching strategies. All students enrolled in college preparatory classes are provided the opportunity to develop the strong foundations necessary to be successful in AP classes, empowering those students who are traditionally underrepresented in AP classes to step up to the challenge. |
