*Zip pencil pouch
*2 plastic pocket folders with brads (red and blue)
*#2 pencils
*Extra pencil top erasers
*4 oz bottle of glue or gluesticks
*Colored pencils
*4 Book covers (Jumbo)
*1 box of plastic baggies (sandwich or gallon)
(Individual teachers may request additional supplies)
BOOK COVERS ARE REQUIRED ON ALL TEXTBOOKS
AT ALL TIMES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR!
Rolling bookbags are discouraged for second graders. At this age students are not required to carry heavy textbooks and often fail to “drive” their book bags safely.

Accelerated Reader, a Renaissance Learning product, is a motivational reading program designed to help students improve their reading skills. Students set goals, read books, and take computerized tests to develop comprehension and greater reading ability. It is web-based.
