Parents and Students,

Welcome to an exciting year of science. My name is Cyndi Blair and I am your Biology teacher. This is currently my eighth year at LHS and I am very happy to be here. In addition to teaching Biology, I also coach the Varsity Football/Competition cheerleading squad.
I am available by phone or email. My email address is cynthia.blair@ccboe.net and my telephone number is 863-0027 ext. 340. Please feel free to contact me at any time to check on the progress of your teen. I am available for extra help or communication from 7:20 to 7:50 am, 10:50-12:50 (planning) and 2:50-3:30 pm.

I expect a lot from my students. They need to spend time each night studying for my class. Do not allow them to wait until the night before the test to start studying. I post test dates at least 3 days in advance. I give both announced and unannounced quizzes.

Some suggestions for success in my class include:
1. Study everyday.
2. Make flash cards for vocabulary.
3. Take good notes during class, my tests come straight from the notes.
4. Pay attention, and be prepared for class everyday.
5. When you need help, ASK immediately. Do not wait until test day to tell me you do not understand something, at this point it is too late.

Positive attitudes and effort go a long way in my classroom. Always be prepared to learn, my job is to teach you material and responsibility. I expect nothing less than your best when you walk into my classroom.

Best wishes,

Mrs. Blair
