Class Information
9th Grade:
This year we will continue working with grammar, vocabulary, and the writing process. We will also cover two class novels, mythology, The Odyssey, short stories, poetry, non-fiction, Romeo and Juliet, and The Miracle Worker. Students will also be required to read one out of class book each nine week period.
10th Grade:
This year we will continue working with grammar, vocabulary, and the writing process. We will also cover two class novels, Arthurian legends, short stories, non-fiction, poetry, Antigone, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Travels with Charley. Students will also be required to read one out of class book each nine week period.
REP:
This class will primarily focus on a variety of reading skills, but we will also incorporate some writing, vocabulary and grammar activities. Some of the goals for this class are to develop comprehension, vocabulary, fluency, word analysis and study skills.
