**Please make sure that your students are writing in their planners and completing all homework nightly, if not completed in class. I have noticed many students have not been completing their classwork with ample time provided and when asked to finish it for HW, it is also not getting done!! Due to the fact that I cannot change my website daily, if students need to finish classwork for HW it is their responsibility to write it in their planners.

This week we will be moving into the second portion of the genetics and heredity unit. This will consist of Chapter 4: sections 3 and 4. Students will be working on activities in class this week and a test will not be scheduled until after our Thanksgiving holidays. Please continue to check my website for updates.
**The extra credit, Is this really me??, is due on Tues., Nov. 17th. Students received this opportunity on Wed. the 11th.

Room: Science Lab 9
Materials:
3 ring binder (students may place all subjects in one binder or have separate binders for all subjects. It is up to them.) Dividers or subdividers within the science section (brainteasers, notes/classwork, and handouts)
Grading:
Daily work/quizzes: count 1 time
Homework: cumulative over the nine week period (5 packets of 20 points each.)
Labs: count 2 times
Tests/projects: count 2 times
**Lakeside Middle School has a no zero policy. (No student is allowed not to
complete or attempt any assignment.) Any student who fails to complete or
attempt an assignment will work on it before school, after school, during
exploratories, or in the office.
**Students will be allowed 5 days following an excused absence to complete any
make-up work. It is the student’s responsibility to ask for any assignments missed.
**Weekly assignments and other work will be posted on the board and my LMS
website each Monday morning and will remain on the board for the entire
week. It is the student’s responsibility to write down all assignments in their planner.
