My Mission Statement:
I believe that all students are capable of learning a foreign language. Exposing students to other languages and cultures is a major responsibility of educators in the 21st century. Students who understand and accept diversity become our future cultural leaders.

I love “Spanish”, my native language and I daily commit myself to convey and create enthusiasm for learning in my classroom.

My goal for my students is to feel confident and comfortable while they are learning and improving their verbal, writing, listening and reading skills. They must:
a) Come to class being prepared and ready to participate in every class activity
b) Do the assigned homework on a daily basis.
c) Use the Spanish Language to communicate in class and elsewhere.
d) Give 100% to their own learning.

In my classroom students will work cooperatively to become proficient in Spanish, mindful of the National Standards for Foreign Language Learning, in an environment where risks are taken and questions are asked.

Respect is crucial; for us, for each other, and for the cultures which the students are learning. Through a variety of activities, students with all learning styles will be supported.
While not being able to master a foreign language in just two years, students hopefully will gain a solid foundation on which to build further language study.

Biography
My name is M.Teresa Valle Granda de Ennis. I was born in Quito Ecuador, South America. After High School graduation I came to USA as part of an exchange program. I received my College Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish with a secondary field in Education from Universidad Central del Ecuador.
In 1982 I married my Georgia high school sweet-heart and returned to USA. God bless us with 2 beautiful children Angel Marie and Larry K.
After several years working in the private sector, I returned to my Alma Mata as a Spanish teacher for Middle and High School in Wilkinson County. I had assisted in seminars designed to assist other educators in instructional strategies for the teaching of Spanish. We relocated to the CSR in 1996 and have been a FLES teacher with Columbia County at Stevens Creek Elementary. I have worked very closely at the State level for the reviewing and completion of the Foreign Language QCC K-12 statewide.
I have been teaching in this wonderful school since 2002.
I strongly believe that the interaction between the student and the teacher in the classroom is crucial. My objective is to apply my command of the Spanish language and my own international cultural background to effectively improve this vital interaction.
