Bienvenidos to Mrs. Funk's website! This site contains information on the teacher, how to contact the teacher, and some websites that will assist the student in learning Spanish.

Course Goal: The goal of this course is to increase proficiency in the Spanish language through writing, speaking, reading and listening activities in the target language.
Classroom Expectations All students will be able to meet the goal of this course. All students are expected to participate in class, to review concepts and to complete assignments given to them by the date given. Students are also expected to be responsible and organized. Students should be willing to learn and work towards greater understanding of the Spanish language together.

Mrs. Funk was born in Maryland, but grew up in Clayton, Georgia. She then attended Berry College in Rome, Georgia where she majored in Spanish and minored in Education with an ESL endorsement. After graduating college and getting married, Mrs. Funk and her husband moved to Wake Forest, NC. Mrs. Funk taught English as a Second Language and coached soccer while her husband attended seminary. Currently, Mrs. Funk and her husband live in Thomson, GA where her husband is a youth minister. This is Mrs. Funk's third year as a Spanish teacher at HMS and she is grateful to have such dedicated and energetic students! |
