You can check the links for Spelling Words and Word Wall Words to find lists for the several weeks ahead. Use these lists to make card games and flash cards to prepare ahead. I will leave the lists as the year progresses so that you may continue to review words. |

What We Are Learning......
Editor's Checklist: My name is on my work.
I put a capital letter at the beginning of a sentence.
I use punctuation at the end of my sentences.
I checked to be sure my sentences make sense.
I checked for spelling words and word wall words in my writing.
We will review the school wide reading comprehension skills throughout April and May.
We will continue to review addition and subtraction as well as using these skills in word problems.
Focus questions in math:
Why do I need to know how to tell time? What is an analog clock? Why do I need to know about measurement? What are some types of measurement? How can knowing about capacity help me? What are some tools for measuring weight, length and capacity?
What steps should I take to solve a word problem? Why should I understand how to solve word problems?
Focus questions in science:
Why are insects important to the enviroment?
How do I know if a bug is a real insect?
How can insects change?
What is a life cycle?
How does Eric Carle use insect information correctly in many of his books?
