Welcome to Mrs. Hayes' room where learning is fun!
Mrs. Hayes is starting her 12th year teaching. She has taught Prekindergarten, Kindergarten, and First Grade. She received her BS in Education and a MED from Georgia Southern. Mrs. Hayes has 3 wonderful children at home, Summer, Lindsay and Blake, and a supportive husband, Paul. She loves working with children and has high expectations of every child that walks into her room. She feels it is important that all children enjoy learning. |

Language Arts Programs
We use SRA Imagine It! to teach our children how to read. Be sure to review the take-home readers, sight words, and letter sounds nightly. This will enable your child to become a life long reader! |

Mathematics
We teach our children math skills by working with various manipulatives and hands-on activities. we learn about numbers 0-100, patterns, colors, shapes, addition, subtraction, and many more concepts. These begining concepts will enable your child a foundation on which to build future math skills! |

Connections to their World
Kindergarteners learn through doing. Be sure to let your child help you make a grocery list or cook supper. It is also important to give them resposibilities so they can learn important self-help skills! |
