Supplies Needed for class:

Set a time for reading and doing homework. Use a timer to motivate your child in doing homework. Set the timer for 15 -30 minutes, depending on the child's attention and frustration levels. After your child has worked for that length of time, let him or her have a 15 minute break to watch TV or play outside. Repeat until homework is finished.
Please encourage your child to read. Take turns reading together. We are encouraging your child to read AR books. Make reading a fun part of your family's activiites. Children learn by watching what we do.
Physical activity is a must for the mind and body. Play time is important. Alternate homework with physical activity to give your child a break as well as yourself.
