 P.C. Washington- Employee of the Year |
Employee of the Year 2003-2004 Mr. Washington worked incredibly hard throughout the school year at many different job sites which included: Apple Tree Academy, Sheraton Hotel, Target, McDonald’s, Food Lion, Columbia County School Transportation Department, Tony Romas, and Top Notch. Mr. Washington won this award as a junior. Mr. Washington also held the office of Vice President for the Transition Program during the 2003-2004 school year. Mr. Washington's future plans include a career in the military. |

 Kyler Bennett- Bulldog Award Winner |
Bulldog Award Winner Kyler Bennett was the recipient of the Bulldog award for the 2003-2004 school year. Mr. Bennett epitomizes what the Transition Program is all about. The student that showed the most enthusiasm day in and day out, the best attendance, the greatest work ethic, and a model employee earned the Bulldog award. You do not have to be the best to win the Bulldog award, but you do have to try the hardest. Mr. Bennett participated in many job sites throughout the year which included: Westwood Senior Center, Michael’s, Euchee Creek Library, Food Lion, Columbia County Schools Transportation Office, Goody’s, and Publix. Mr. Bennett was a junior when he received this award. Mr. Bennett’s future plans include opening up his own barber shop. |

 Melissa Rice- Academic Award Winner |
Academic Award Winner Melissa Rice earned the 2003-2004 Academic Award for maintaining an “A” average for the entire school year. Miss Rice won this award as she completed her senior year at Harlem High School. Miss Rice continually went above and beyond in all of her academics. When the students were told they could complete extra current events over the weekend for extra credit, Miss Rice turned in over 50 the following Monday. Miss Rice’s future plans include being a veterinary assistant and working with animals. Miss Rice job trained in several locations which included: Apple Tree Academy, Michael’s, Doctors Hospital, Euchee Creek Library, McDonalds, The Home Depot, Pet Smart, and Publix. |

 Channing Hale |
August 2004 Employee of the Month Channing Hale has captured the first Employee of the Month award for the 2004-2005 school year. Channing earned a total of 989 points for the month of August. These are the most points ever earned during the first month of school while utilizing our job-training level system. Channing earned this honor for his performance at United Medical Enterprises. September 2004 Employee of the Month Way to go P.C. Washington. P.C. earned a total of 702 points during the month of September while working at United Medical Supply and Euchee Creek Library. Since last year, this is P.C.’s third Employee of the Month honor. P.C. was also awarded our Employee of the Year for the 2003-2004 school year. CONGRATULATIONS TO P.C. WASHINGTON!! |
 Channing Hale |
October 2004 Employee of the Month Channing Hale has won employee of the month for the second time this school year. Channing earned a total of 676 points while working at Euchee Creek Library and is now working at Michaels Arts and Crafts. Channing is currently the top point winner on our job-training program with 2329 points. CONGRATULATIONS TO CHANNING HALE! |

November 2004 Employee of the Month Channing has won his third Employee of the Month honor for November. Channing earned an unbelievable 1353 points. Channing also has been honored with being voted Transition Program Class President. Channing ran a very hard fought campaign to edge out his opponent P.C. Washington. Channing is the front-runner for the Employee of the Semester honor. Channing was at Michael’s Arts and Crafts this rotation and was instrumental in preparing their store for the upcoming holiday season. Congratulation to Channing Hale! |
