What's Happening !!! |
This year began with two new units being taught that introduce the connecting themes and enduring understandings that will run through this entire year's study. It involves lecture and powerpoint presentations. This is a method that will be utilized throughout this year.
The unit on the Civil War is a surprising learning experience for these fifth graders. They realize how important this period was for our country and how much we should have learned from this war. The class as a whole has done well as the first progress reports have been sent home. Those who are trying and doing their work found it worth their while; those who have yet to find their niche in social studies need to discover it soon! |
What's Next? |
| The next unit of study is the natural progression through Reconstruction into the next important period of this country's history. |
