My name is Laura Johnson. I am so excited about teaching your child this year in EIP! I anticipate a wonderful year working together with you as a team for your child’s best educational experience. It is my goal to make this an enjoyable and memorable year for all of us. I will do all that I can to keep you informed about what we do in class, as well as the progress of your child.
I have lived in Columbia County my entire life. I graduated from Lakeside High School and then went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Augusta State University. I also have a Master's Degree in Special Education from Cambridge College! I am starting my fourth year of teaching.
My husband, Philip, is a teacher as well. He teaches high school students and coaches football. We have two precious little girls named Kaitlyn Rose and Madilyn Jane. Philip and I love parenthood!
I chose to teach because I truly have a love and a heart for children. It is so rewarding to see children grow, achieve success, and become excited about learning. I know that every child can learn and achieve success. It is crucial that they have the self-confidence to try new things. They need to feel special about themselves. I also believe that learning can be fun and accomplished in a variety of challenging ways.
