Welcome to Kindergarten! |
| Kindergarten is an exciting time for children! They will be learning many things and growing in many ways. The students will be learning all of their letters, sounds, and numbers. Also, they will be learning sight words which our class calls "Sparkle Words" which will help them build basic skills for reading. In Kindergarten, students learn how to read! It is so much fun for the parents, the students, and me to watch the progress that they make during the year! We will be learning reading, math, science, and social studies through numerous fun and hands-on activities this year. Our class is like a big family and will do many fun things together! |
Let's Get To Know Ms. Kinsey |
This is my second year teaching Kindergarten at Martinez Elementary, and I love it here! Before I came to MES, I taught 1st Grade in Richmond County. I feel that this helps me better prepare my students for 1st grade since I have taught that grade before. Martinez is a great place to work and a great place for your children to learn!
I am from Martinez, GA and came through Columbia County schools. I am pleased to work for a county with such a wonderful reputation and quality of education. I graduated from Augusta State University with a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education. I recently finished my Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from ASU and am currently pursuing my Specialist degree in Teaching and Learning at ASU. In addition, I am engaged and will be getting married in May 2009.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email me or send a note in your child's DINO Book. |
