| LMS StreamKeepers |
| PURPOSE: |
The LMS StreamKeepers are a concerned group of students who participate in Georgia Adopt-a-Stream as a community project. We monitor Reed Creek and the property adjacent to our school. Participation includes chemical, biological, and physical surveys, recording findings, and sharing data with the community, local and state government, research groups at universities, and other concerned environmental groups.
Chemical Surveys are done monthly Biologial and Physical Surveys are done quarterly. |

ECO-MEET 2006 |
Our group also sponsors the LMS Eco-Team. This competitive academic team researches topics in environmental science and compete at the annual regional meet. We have been active participants since the conception of the Middle School Eco-Meet in 1997, by sending up to three teams of four.
This year, the meet will be Friday, May 5, 2006.
