Classroom Discipline Plan Mrs. Marshall
In order for each child to be guaranteed the safest and best learning environment, we will be using the following discipline plan in our class room. We as a class discussed the “rules” and why they are important. We use rewards and praise to encourage good behavior. Second grade is a time where children are learning to get along together and be responsible for his or her behavior. This as a big task and we don’t expect perfection. We are consistent with the rules.
Our Rules 1. We listen when someone is talking. 2. We use our inside voices. 3. We are kind to others. 4. We keep our hands and feet to ourselves. 5. We take turns.
The following consequences will be enforced in our classroom : · 1st consequence - Verbal warning · 2nd consequence – "Mark a square" on classroom chart and sit out of activity . · 3rd consequence – "Mark a second square" on the chart and sit out of activity . · 4th consequence – "Flip a third square" on the chart and sit out of activity. A note will be sent home to be signed and returned.
We do not call parents with each time out. We prefer to handle things in our classroom. If there is a pattern or a situation that warrants your attention I will call and discuss it with you . Children are only sent to the office for acts of aggression that results in injury to themselves or another person. In that event, you will be notified by an administrator.
Thank you for your support. Mrs. Marshall
