In order for students to do well in math, students need to be automatic in their knowledge of basic facts. Please work with your child at home to help him/her memorize these facts. Those old flash cards still work just great for this!
One focus of third grade reading this year is fluency. Please work with your child nightly to help him/her read a passage aloud with accuracy and good expression. This will improve your child's comprehension as well as his/her self-esteem. |
