We will be participating in a classroom postcard exchange with various 5th grade classrooms across the nation. I have ordered the postcards online, but am asking for donations of a postage stamp to help in shipping costs. We will be mapping locations and discussing the economic and political events of the various states in relation to their location within the United States as they arrive from various locations. There are 29 schools participating in this project!

Progress monitoring is a term used to describe frequent monitoring (every 2 weeks) of your child's oral reading fluency progress. Our goal is to increase oral reading fluency in order to create more time and attention on reading comprehension. We need to practice reading accurately and reading with increased speed at home. Some students will receive frequent progress monitoring on a case by case basis. |
