In November, the students will make their own paper backpack and school objects in order to play a fun game. We will also begin our unit on the body parts.
Using the calendar, we practice numbers, colors, clothing, pets, weather, time, action verbs, months, days of the week, seasons, age, and birthday.
A cultural activity I incorporate as an incentive is to have the students earn "colones", Costa Rican currency, every day in class. Once they reach 200 "colones", the whole class gets a treat and they start over again with a new goal.
