| Philosophy of Physical Education |
| Physical education provides experiences for all students to develop positive, active, and healthy lifestyles. Activities are designed for maximum student participation, cooperation, success, challenge, and enjoyment. Instructional content is focused on physical fitness, movement skills, small and large group games, team sports, stunts and tumbling, rhythmic and dance activities. Physical education is a place where learning can be fun! |
| Steps to a Healthier Life |
Physical Fitness: Be physically active everyday. Learn how to make regular physical activity a routine part of your life. Nutrition: Eat a nutritious diet: Healthy eating is not a fad-it's a lifestyle. Learn what the experts say you need for a healthy diet. Prevention: Get preventative screenings. Find out how screening can protect you and your family from illnesses you can prevent. Make Healthy Choices: Avoid risky behaviors. Tobacco is the leading cause of preventable death in the U.S. If you smoke, you can quit. If you don't smoke, don't start! |
