Owen Syllabus: English 9
The English 9 course focuses on building a foundation of communication skills through composition, grammar, vocabulary, and literature. This class is designed to bridge the gap between middle school and AP English courses in order to prepare students for the rigors of college and professional work and aims for a mastery of the basics of language and literature study.
Essential Question: How can students acquire an effective foundation for the study of communication skills and literature?
