Meet the Teacher |
| Hello! My name is Renee' Owen and I am one of the physical education teachers. I graduated from Georgia Southern University in May of 1996 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health and Physical Eduation (Pre-K - 12). I have been teaching for twelve years at North Harlem Elementary. I work with Anita Abbott, who has been teaching for twenty years at North Harlem. |
Information about our Physical Education Program |
The Physical Education department at North Harlem strives to meet the physical, social, and academic needs of every child. This is accomplished through an integrated curriculum.
The students meet for over ninety hours of physical education a year. During this time, the children participate in various activities such as movement exploration, manipulatives, rhythms, lead up activities for team sports, and seasonal games.
Some other fun and exciting activities that are offered include the following:
