Welcome to First Grade. We are looking forward to a great year at BROOKWOOD. First grade is an exciting time when children learn to read and become independent readers. It is also a time when they develop their math and writing skills. Our reading program focuses on a phonics based approach to reading with sight words.

Information |
In First Grade, we use a folder for communication. The left side of the folder has a homework page and any important notes that are going home. The right side of the folder has graded papers of work that has been done that day in class. |
