AM is awesome!
What is Accelerated Math?
Accelerated Math is a super computer program which gives lots of "drill" and practice on the various third and fourth grade math objectives. The teacher assigns an objective to a student. A practice is printed for the student. After the student completes the practice, he/she scores it on a scantron. If the student is successful with the practice, a test is printed. After completion of the test and scoring, the student moves to a new objective. If there is a problem, the teacher receives notice and steps in to help the student. Each student progresses at his own speed. This is a fantastic resource to give support to students in the area of math. They feel a real sense of pride when they are able to master objectives and move on to new skills.

Accelerated Math Teams
Our class is divided into Accelerated Math teams. Each team tries to master new objectives during the week. Pictures of students and teams who master the most objectives are posted in the hall for everyone in the school to admire. The students enjoy challenging each other and mastering new objectives.
