Art 1 and 2 Will Go Back to the Basics
In the first semester of Visual Arts I and II, we will be focusing on the elements and principles of Art. We will begin the courses by studying about line, shape, form,color,value,space and texture. Next, we will build on these elements of Art by adding the principles...concepts like proportion,rhythm,and balance.
We will move from drawing to painting to ceramics and then onto printmaking. And, as we use these various art media, we will explore the works of famous artitst to inspire us along the way! |

Color is a Major Element of Art |
Homework is Important!
Homework will be assigned weekly and will be due each Tuesday, unless otherwise noted. Assignments will be listed on the board each week. Students will complete the homework in their 9"x12" spiral bound sketchbooks.
Please note that late homework will not be accepted. The students have only one Art homework per week. If they are absent on Tuesday, they can turn in the homework on their first day back at school with no penalty. |
