The Importance of Writing
Writing is very important in third grade! We will be perfecting the writing process: prewriting (brainstorming), drafting, editing and revising, and publishing, as we work toward our writing assessment at the end of the year. We will explore and publish 4 genres of writing: narrative, response to text (literature), persuasive, and expository(informational). I hope you will learn this year that writing is an important creativity outlet, allowing you to be the captain of your own ship, the author of your own stories...how exciting! |
